Izabella Kay born 1957, Wroclaw, educated in Communist Poland, where she obtained her MA in Econimics on the subject of "Export of Polish Art" in 1981. Since then she has been based in London. A former banker with Merrill Lynch, she claims her real adventure with art started about 10 years ago. Only then did she realise that the act of creating brought her peace, crystallised her desires and colour became her language of expression.
For 2 years she attended open studios at Heatherley`s Schoool of Fine Art in London and later she studies for 2 years under the Polish painter Ewa Gargulinska. Izabella Exhibited her own art for the first time in 2002. Since then she has participated in various mixed shows in London as awell as at AAF Fairs 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, Art London 2005, and AAF New York 2007 with great success. Her first solo exhibition "Fifty Experiments - One Love " was sold out and resulted in further commissions in 2005 and 2006.
In 2006 a fraction of the project Phantasmagoria was featured at Focus 2006 Exhibition, Chelsea Design Centre in association with the World of Interiors Magazine. She has numerous colletors in the UK, Poland, Italy, Germany, France, and USA. Her art adorns some of the most exclusive interiors in London.
Six years ago, Izabella set up Vernissage, an organisation dedicated to promoting Young Polish Art.
